Broadway Utica, in conjunction with Phoenix Entertainment, has selected a Utica boy for a walk-on role in its national presentation of "Ragtime" at the Stanley Theater in Utica.

8-year old Treyvone Jones, a third grader at Jefferson Elementary School, will portray "Young Coalhouse."  Jones sings in his church choir and actively participates in dancing presentations at the Thea Bowman House.

“At Broadway Utica, it is our mission to provide unique opportunities for local individuals interested in the performing arts,” said Derek Clark, executive director of Broadway Utica. “We are so lucky to have such a talented young man with performing arts experience volunteer to fill this role,” he continued.

"Ragtime" will be presented at the Stanley Theater on April 6th and 7th at 7:30.
