Utica, NY (WIBX) - One former Utica Brewers baseball player is returning to Donovan Stadium to raise money for cancer awareness.

Alex Paluka, a member of Utica's 2008 team, is the founder of "The Cure Baseball," a nonprofit organization using the sport to raise support for those battling cancer.

Sponsored by the Utica Brewers and Greenscapes Garden Center, the Brewers team will wear pink jerseys during their June 29th game against the Sherrill Silversmiths.

Four years ago, Paluka raised nearly $9,000 for two local families battling the disease.
