Utica Fire Academy Holds Graduation Ceremony At MVCC

The Utica Fire Academy graduated 19 cadets from 12 different fire departments across the state at a ceremony at MVCC Wednesday.

Speaking at the event, Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi said having enrollment from all over the State in Utica's Fire Academy is a shining example, and Utica Fire Chief Russ Brooks said the Academy is a model for the state that nobody else has been able to duplicate.

The ceremony also included local cadets from Ilion, Rome and Old Forge fire departments.
