Utica Man Arrested Following Shots Fired Call

A Utica man has been arrested in connection with a "shots fired" incident Sunday morning in the area of Plant and Hobart Streets.

22-year old Ian Tanner is facing several charges, including criminal possession of a weapon and resisting arrest.

Utica Police say Tanner was allegedly in possession of a loaded handgun was he was arrested.

While officers were trying to take Tanner in custody, he resisted arrest by trying to pull away.

Tanner is currently on parole for a previous robbery conviction.
