Utica Man Arrested for Allegedly Slashing Tires

A resident called police saying he saw a man in his driveway slashing the tires on his car.

The man was chased and, police say, ran into a local bar at about 8:45 Thursday night.

Police entered the bar and found the man, identified as 53-year old James Halvey of Columbia Street, who was allegedly carrying a knife.

Halvey is being charged with criminal mischief.
