Utica Man Arrested For Sexually Abusing A 14 Year Old

The Oneida County Child Advocacy Center has arrested a Utica man for allegedly sexually assaulting a 14-year old at his home.

37-year old Ramon Mercado-Gomez is charged with criminal sexual act --a felony.

Authorities say Mercado-Gomez is a resident legal alien from the Dominican Republic

Investigators say more charges are likely as the investigation continues.

The victim has been offered counseling through the Child Advocacy Center.
