Utica Man Facing Drug Charges

A Utica man has been arrested following an investigation into the sale of drugs in the parking lot of the Hannaford Plaza on Mohawk Street.

Utica Police say 26-year old Dontai Harrison was allegedly in possession of over an ounce of marijuana.

After he was arrested and placed into handcufffs, police say Harrison struggled with officers while attempting to flee and one the officers was injured.

Harrison is facing charges including criminal sale and criminal possession of marijuana, escape and obstructing governmental administration

Police say more charges may be pending.
