Utica Police Asking For Public’s Help In Animal Abuse Case

Utica Police are asking for the public's help as they investigate an alleged case of animal abuse.

Police say several people approached an officer in front of 700 Varick Street at around 2:00 Saturday morning and told the officer a man was abusing a dog.

The officer found the man and seized the dog, but the man fled before his name could be learned.  The dog was a brown and white male pit bull with a pink collar.
