Utica Police Investigate Another Shooting That Injured 16-Year-Old
Utica Police are still investigating a shooting that happened Friday evening on the 1100 block of St. Vincent Street.
Officials say, upon officers arrival they discovered an injured man who informed them a group of individuals had just fired shots at other individuals close to him. He was transported to a local hospital.
While there, Police learned that man's injuries were a result of him trying to evade stray rounds.
While speaking to that individual at the hospital a 16-year-old male was brought into the same hospital with a gun shot wound to his abdomen.
It was learned he was in the same area of St. Vincent Street when the reported shooting occurred. His injuries are non-life threatening.
Police say, the investigation is ongoing.
