Utica Police are looking for the public's help in identify the owner of a dog that was found severely injured in the yard of a home in the Cornhill area.

Police say the dog was taken to a local animal hospital and is being treated for a severe burn that was most likely caused by acid or bleach.

The dog, a male Pit Bull believed to be 8 to 10 months old, will remain at the hospital until its condition improves and will then be taken to the Stevens-Swan Humane Society.
