Utica Police Investigating Downtown Bank Robberies [UPDATE]
UPDATED 3:15 p.m. - Utica Police have arrested a suspect in connection with two downtown bank robberies.
Police say the M&T Bank at 233 Genesee Street was robbed just after 11:30 this morning.
About two hours later, police were called to the Key Bank at 255 Genesee Street for a reported robbery.
Police believe the man is also responsible for an attempted robbery at the Price Chopper on Genesee Street in South Utica.
All three incidents took place within a two-hour period.
Utica Police have charged 59-year old Kevin Byng of Utica with robbery and attempted robbery.
Police say no injuries were reported during any of theincidents. No weapons were displayed in any of the three incidents.
