Utica Police Investigating Shooting in East Utica

Utica Police are investigating a shooting that happened just before 1:00 Friday morning in the area of Rutger Street and Belmont Avenue.

Police say the victim, 21-year old William Morris, was located by officers at another location.  Morris confirmed that the shooting took place at the corner of Rutger and Belmont.

Morris suffered a gunshot wound to the foot was taken to the hospital for treatment.
