Utica Police Release Name Of Man Killed In Scooter Accident

Utica Police have released the name of the man who was killed in a scooter accident last week.

52-year old Timothy Blanchard of Utica died after his motorized scooter was hit by a car at the intersection of Mohawk and South Streets last Friday afternoon.

Police say Blanchard was not wearing a helmet.

No tickets have been issued at this time and police say the full accident reconstruction investigation is still underway.
