Utica Rome Unemployment Rate Down In April

The New York State Department of Labor is out with its preliminary local unemployment numbers for April and it's good new for the Utica-Rome area.

The jobless rate was 6.1% last month, down from 8.1% in April of 2013.

Just last week, the Labor Department announced the state's unemployment rate in April fell to 6.7%, its lowest level since December of 2008.
