A Utica man who was shot in both legs on the 1600 block of Seymour Avenue on Tuesday afternoon is facing drug charges.

Utica Police say 33-year old Vincent Wynder gave investigators details of the shooting not consistent with witness accounts.

Investigators spoke with him again on Wednesday and he gave the same story

During the investigation, officers allegedly found Wynder in possession of nine envelopes of heroin and a bag of "Blue Haze", which is believed to be synthetic marijuana.

Wynder was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.
