
Utica Teen Facing Weapons Charges Following Traffic Stop
A Utica teen is facing several charges following a traffic stop.
Utica Police, working with State Police under the GIVE Program (Gun Involved Violence Elimination), were patrolling in the Cornhill area when they tried to pull over 17-year old Kareem Williams for committing several vehicle and traffic violations.
They say Williams fled on foot and was taken into custody in the 1500 block of Dudley Avenue after a short pursuit.
Police allegedly recovered a loaded handgun.
Williams is charged with criminal possession of a firearm, criminal possession of a weapon and obstructing governmental administration.
