Utica Zoo’s Lion Water Fountain Restored

The iconic lion water fountain at the Utica Zoo is sporting a new paint job.

Steve's Restoration and Hots Rods in Frankfort has restored the fountain located in the Children's Zoo, which is almost 50 years old.

Owner Steve Hale says the process of restoring the lion fountian was fairly similar to restoring a fiber glass bodied car like a Corvette.

The Utica Zoo is celebrating its 100 anniversary this year.
