Verona Man Killed When Tree Falls On Him

An elderly Verona man is dead after being hit by a tree.

State Police say 87-year old Olin Davis was working in his yard last evening when a severe storm with high winds moved through the area.

A large tree on his property fell on Davis.

Police say after the storm, neighbors found Davis under the tree and freed him.

He was taken to the Oneida Healthcare Facility where he was pronounced dead.
