Dozens of local and regional residents gathered outside the Baseball Hall of Fame on Thursday awaiting President Obama's visit so they could tell him to reject hydro-fracking.The crowd held signs that read "Tourists want clean air and water, not fracking rigs," "renewable energy now," and "we can't drink money."

The group said they set out to highlight that Obama's support of natural gas and fracking is contradictory to his promise to address climate change considering science shows that methane leaks undermine its benefits.

In the videos below you can listen to Board President of Otsego 2000 Nicole Dillingham along with Program Director of Catskill Mountainkeeper Wes Gillingham and his daughter Iris who have farmed in the Catskills for generations talk about why they are against fracking and the concerns they have.
