Utica needs your help to keep the city in the running for the return of the Levitt AMP Music Series.

Area residents can vote for Utica to once again host the music series that brings local and national music acts to Kopernik Park in Oneida Square.

Fifteen small to mid-sized cities and towns will be chosen through voting to receive $25,000 in matching funds to host a 10-12 week free concert series.

Over the summer of 2016, Utica was one of those 15 nationwide cities to host the Levitt AMP series with funds from Levitt and the Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties.

“The concerts spurred business, brought life to an underutilized city park and drew thousands of people to Utica from across the Mohawk Valley," said Caroline Williams of Rust 2 Green Utica Urban Studio.

Concertgoers also praised the concert series,

“Great acts, great diversity of style - Location is perfect - Really well done!”

“I love how it’s bringing the community together and especially livening up the Oneida Square area.”

Utica Monday Nite, in partnership with Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute, The DeSales Center and the Cornell Rust 2 Green Studio-Utica, submitted the application for 2017.

The proposed venue site is Kopernik Park with the first concert of the season to be held at Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute’s lawn on July 3rd, to close their popular Arts Festival.
