2 Recovering After Troop Car Rammed in Ramapo
Two New York State troopers are recovering from injuries after their car was hit while helping a disabled car.
22-Year old Robert T. Johnson of Suffern, who was driving a Jeep on Airmont Road in Ramapo, New York, allegedly rear-ended the marked police car while its lights were flashing.
The accident happened on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at about 4:20am.
The troopers were brought to Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern and were treated were injuries that were described in a written release from State Police as "minor."
Police say that Johnson, who was not injured, provided a breath sample that returned a result of .11% blood alcohol concentration. He is facing a DWI charge and several traffic violations.
