Players taking part in this week's New York State American Legion Baseball Tournament in Utica got a chance to meet with veterans at the Sitrin Medical Rehabilitation Center in New Hartford today.

The players talked with the vets about baseball, life experiences and what it's like to be a soldier.

The event was organized by Adrean Post Commander and Tournament Director Mike Macchione.

The State American Legion tournament is taking place tomorrow through Sunday at Donovan Stadium.

The tournament features eight teams from across the state, including New Hartford Post and Smith Post of Rome.
