Former Atlanta Braves and New York Yankees outfield Andruw Jones was arrested in the early morning hours on Christmas Day after an apparent domestic incident with his wife, according to ESPN.com.

The report says Jones allegedly dragged his wife down a staircase and told her he wanted to 'kill' her. This after Nicole Jones says she asked her husband to help prepare the house for the holiday.

The report says Jones was released on bail ($2,400) at around 11:00 am on Christmas Day.

Jones spent a dozen years with the Braves as a ten-time Gold Glove winner before spending one season each with the Dodgers, Rangers and White Sox. He spent the last two season with the Yankees and has reportedly inked a one-year, $3.5 million deal to play in Japan's Pacific League.
