Annsville Teen Killed in Head On Collision with Tractor Trailer

An Oneida County teen has died following a motor vehicle crash involving a tractor trailer.

According to Oneida County Sheriff Rob Maciol, deputies responded to the scene of the accident on Blossvale Road in the Town of Annsville at around 6:00 p.m.

An investigation revealed that 18-year-old Andrew Salmon of Annsville was driving northbound on Blossvale Road when he collided head on with a tractor trailer traveling south driven by 41-year-old William Loomis of Whitesboro.

As a result of the crash, Salmon was pronounced dead at the scene and Loomis was transported to St. Elizabeth's Medical Center for evaluation. The investigation into the crash is underway.
