Albany, NY (WIBX) - A little more than a week remains on the public comment period for the proposed Thruway toll hike.

Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb is asking members of the public to get more involved if they do not agree with the proposed forty-five percent hike.  He suggests contacting their local state senator or member of the State Assembly.

Kolb says the proposed hike in fees will damage New York's economy and cost jobs.

He says it's very simple, urging voters not to remain silent.
