Family Court Attorney Jason D. Flemma has announced he is seeking the Republican nomination for Family Court Judge.

Flemma is a native of Oneida County who graduated from New Hartford High School. He attended undergrad at Ithaca College and received his Juris Doctor from Hofstra Law School.

Flemma says, "As someone who has the privilege of working in Family Court each and every day, I've seen firsthand the positive difference that can be made in the lives of children and families.  I wake up and go to work knowing that I can have an impact.  It would be an honor and a privilege to serve our great community as a Judge, and I humbly ask voters to look at my unique qualifications as both a successful attorney in private practice as well as my service in Family Court, and support my candidacy."

Flemma has also served the City of Utica on the Common Council, has been an active member of the Oneida County Bar Association, he's a member of the City of Utica Ethics Board and was a past board member of the Neighborhood Center Inc.

He's seeking the judgeship seat left vacant by the retirement of Judge Joan Shkane.
