Authorities Ramping Up Search for Missing Teen Dekreon Reid Cruz
Authorities are ramping up efforts to find a teenager missing from Central New York since November.
Eighteen-year-old Dekreon Reid-Cruz is from Solvay, near Syracuse. The circumstances under which he disappeared last fall remain a mystery.
The Onondaga County Sheriff's Office is expected to conduct what is being described as an "intense ground search" beginning at 8:00am on Saturday, May 2, 2015. The search will include, but not be limited to, combing area backyards.
According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Dekreon has a seizure condition and may be hallucinating because of a change in his medication. Since his disappearance it has been assumed that he is in need of medical attention.
He stands about five feet, six inches tall. When last seen Dekreon was approximately 150 pounds.
Anyone with information should immediately call police.
