Authorities Search For Person Thrown From Jet Ski In Crash
TONAWANDA, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities in upstate New York are searching for a person who fell from a Jet Ski when it collided with a boat on the Niagara River.
Police say the collision happened Sunday afternoon near Niawanda Park in Tonawanda. Authorities say the operator of the Jet Ski and a female passenger were thrown from the watercraft during the crash.
The woman was rescued and taken to a hospital.
Tonawanda Police Capt. Frederic Foels says investigators are speaking with the boat operator.
Multiple agencies are searching for the missing person. The cause of the crash is unclear.
