Bar Fight Led To Broken Leg And Assault Charges

Utica, NY (WIBX) - Utica police arrested a suspect for allegedly assaulting another man, causing him to break his leg. The argument between the two happened early this morning at the Same Ol' Mo Bar on Whitesboro Street. According to the report, 42-year-old James Kahler punched the victim in the face during the argument, causing him to fall and break his leg. Kahler was taken into custody at him residence on Albany Street, and is facing a 3rd Degree Assault charge-a Misdemeanor.

The victim was treated at St. Elizabeth Medical Center.
