(WIBX950 Sports)   Tiger Woods is hoping to be healthy enough to play in the PGA Tour's next major tournament, the US Open on June 16th at Congressional County Club.Woods has been in a boot for his Achilles and on crutches to take pressure off his knee and back.    He will start strength training next week to try and get back into golf shape.    Woods withdrew from the Players Championship a few weeks ago after nine holes, after he says he was injured during the third round of the Masters last month.

Local Fans sure hope Tiger is better, he is scheduled to be part of Notah Begay's charity event coming up at Turning Stone's Atunyote golf course on July 5th.
