BJ’s Shoplifter Leads Security, Police On Foot Chase

Utica, NY (WIBX) - A Utica man may have to watch his movies on basic cable, after getting caught stealing DVDs.

Utica Police say Barney Sharon, 29, of Lenox Avenue, was at BJ's around 11 a.m. yesterday, when he walked out of the store with several DVDs.

Security personnel then chased Sharon through the parking lot and onto Riverside Drive, where was stopped by an off-duty UPD officer.

Sharon is charged with one count of misdemeanor petit larceny.
