Boilermaker Charity Bib Organizations Celebrate Success

The Boilermaker Charity Bib Program raised over $92,000 for local charities this year.
The Boilermaker Charity Bib Finale took place Wednesday at the Boilermaker headquarters.

David Ayoud was the top money raiser, generating $12,000 for Make A Wish.

This year's chosen charities were:

• The Root Farm
• Make A Wish
• Food Bank of CNY
• Masonic Care Community
• ARC of Onondaga County
• Upstate Cerebral Palsy
• Veterans Outreach Center
• Midtown Utica Community Center
• Sitrin Healthcare
• Muscular Dystrophy Association

Since its inception in 2013, the Boilermaker has raised nearly $500,000 for local charities.

“To be able to maximize the Boilermaker name to support charitable agencies in our region is simply awesome” said Tim Reed, president of the Boilermaker Road Race. “This is one of the final events of Boilermaker 2016 and is certainly one of the most satisfying.”
