The Utica Boilermaker Road Race held its annual Corporate Cup awards ceremony on Wednesday night.

The Corporate Cup is a friendly competition between businesses participating in the 15K race.

$500 grants were given to Joseph's Experience, Foothills Rural Community Ministry and the Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties.

The charities were nominated by businesses competing in the Corporate Cup.

Boilermaker President Tim Reed also announced an additional $1,000 donation to the Signal 30 Benefit Fund in honor of slain New York State Trooper, Joel Davis.

The fund provides assistance to troopers and their families as well as other critical needs in the law enforcement community.

The State Police are so important to not only the success of the race but the safety of our communities,” said Reed. “We are proud to honor Joel’s memory with this donation.”
