A Bridgewater man has been issued several tickets after fleeing the Oneida County Sheriff's Office snowmobile patrol.

According to the Sheriff's Office, 34-year-old Michael Puglese attempted to turn around when approached by deputies and rolled over his sled.

He quickly flipped the sled upright and began to evade the patrol. Because Puglese had trouble getting back on the trail, he turned into the woods and drove away until he became disabled in a creek.

Patrol deputies did not pursue, but monitored the direction in which he fled. When they no longer heard his engine, they began a foot pursuit and discovered Puglese's sled in the creek bed.

After following several leads, deputies were able to locate Puglese at his home on Babcock Hill Road.

He was issued tickets for failure to comply with police, an unregistered snowmobile and an uninsured snowmobile.
