Brindisi To Host Workshop For Dairy Farmers

Congressman Anthony Brindisi will be hosting a workshop for local dairy farmers next week.

The workshop will take place on Tuesday, August 20th at 2:00 at the Casler Family Farm on Null Road in Little Falls.

Farmers will learn about a new program at the United States Department of Agriculture.

The Dairy Margin Coverage program was authorized as part of the 2018 Farm Bill.

The program offers protection to dairy producers when the difference between the all-milk price and the average feed cost falls below a certain dollar amount selected by the producer.

Brindisi will be joined by members of the local Farm Service Agency.
