Utica, NY (WIBX) - The Broadway Theater League will kick-off its 2011-2012 season on September 27th and 28th with the musical "Young Frankenstein."

Executive Director John Felhner says it will be the first stop on the show's national tour in what's known in the industry as a "tech show."

Felhner says while in Utica, the "Young Frankenstein" set, costumes and promotional materials for the national tour will be updated and revitalized over a 10-to-12 day period

Felhner says with the cast and crew staying at our hotels and eating in our restaurants, the show will have an economic impact of between $750,00 and $900, 000 on the local economy.

Other shows on the schedule include "Shrek the Musical", "South Pacific" and the Blue Man Group.
