Broadway Utica and Oneida Herkimer Madison BOCES are inviting you to go and "Elf Yourself."

In preparation for the November 10-11, 2014 performances of "ELF" at the Stanley Theatre in Utica, the two organizations unveiled a life-sized cutout of the Buddy the Elf character in the show.

Buddy was created through a partnership between the theatrical performance group and theatrical arts personnel, along with the Advertising and Design and Construction programs at BOCES.

Broadway Utica Executive Director John Fehlner said, "This was an incredible match up, allowing the students to learn their craft while they created a magnificent piece of art that is both playful and useful as a promotional tool."

OHM BOCES district superintendent Howard Mettelman says the Elf project shows what BOCES is all about, combining project-based learning with real-world experience.  In a written release Mettelman said, "We are proud to call Broadway Utica a community partner."
