Calling Hours, Funeral Set For State Trooper Killed In Crash
ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — Calling hours and funeral services have been finalized for a New York state trooper killed in an on-duty crash this week.
State police officials say Wednesday that calling ours for Trooper Jeremy VanNostrand will be held Sunday afternoon at Mayfield Junior-Senior High School in Fulton County.
His funeral will be held Monday morning at St. Gabriel the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Schenectady.
State police officials say the 36-year-old married father of a 6-year-old daughter was on his way to work Tuesday morning when his private vehicle was rear-ended by a box truck as he waited to turn into the trooper station in Fultonville in Montgomery County.
His vehicle was then hit by a pickup truck. VanNostrand died from his injuries at an Albany hospital.
The cause of the crash is being investigated.
