Ceiling Tiles Come Crashing Down At Tristate Industrial Laundries HQ’s In Marcy
Marcy, NY (WIBX) - A broken water pipe at the headquarters of Tristate Industrial Laundries in Marcy caused several ceiling tiles to come crashing down after extensive water damage following the busted pipe.
Lieutenant Robert Girard with the Maynard Fire Department said, "They had a sprinkler pipe head that broke. It caused a lot of water to fall into the ceiling and a couple of the drop down ceiling tiles collapsed into the room. The room was unoccupied at the time, there's nobody injured and basically it's a big water mess at this time but not really a big emergency right now."
Lt. Girard said the company is going to fix the pipe and hire a service company to help with the water clean up process. Although there were no evacuation orders given, several employees braved the cold weather outside as they waited for clearance from officials.
