Changes Made To New York’s Medical Marijuana Program
The Health Department is changing the program to make it easier for patients to obtain a medical marijuana prescription, and to reduce bureaucratic hurdles on drug manufacturers participating in the program
Nurse Practitioners will be also able to certify patients and dispensaries would be allowed to make deliveries to patients who cannot leave their homes.
Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi is praising the Cuomo administration for the changes.
Brindsi says he's optimistic the changes will allow more New Yorkers suffering from chronic and often painful conditions like epilepsy and ALS to be included in the medical marijuana program.
