Washington, DC (WIBX) - If you have cans of chicken corn chowder on your shelves you'll need to check them.

The Department of Agriculture is issuing a recall in New York State for Wegman's Chunky Chicken Corn Chowder and America's Choice Chicken Corn Chowder Chunky.

It appears that both were discovered to be extra chunky, when pieces of marker pens were found in several cans of the product.

No illness has been reported but consumers are being told to discard the product or return cans to wherever they bought them.

The soup is made by Morgan Foods, an Austin, Indiana company on February 29, 2012 and have the number P-1469 inside the USDA mark of inspection on the label.  Other cans were distributed to different states.  For a full distribution list visit the United States Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) website or call: (812) 794.1253.
