Utica, NY (WIBX) - The Department of Transportation is advising Utica residents of some upcoming roadwork that could result in delays. Starting next week, DOT will be performing rehabilitation work on the North Genesee Street Bridge, and minor delays are expected.

Officials say motorists on Lee Street in Utica will encounter one-way alternating traffic, that will be controlled by a temporary traffic signal. Traffic on North Genesee Street will not be affected by the work.

Also, the southbound or northbound daytime shoulder of Route 12 near the Mohawk River, will also be under going construction for a message sign installation, however officials say no traffic delays are expected.

Other Scheduled NYSDOT Road Work:

ONEIDA COUNTY

Town of Forestport: Route 28 reconstruction between Pit Four Road and Tamarack Road. Motorists will encounter a lane closure controlled by flaggers due to utility relocations. Minor delays.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY

Village of Fonda: Route 30A Bridge replacement over CSX railroad. Motorists will encounter intermittent one-lane alternating traffic controlled by flaggers due to utility relocations. Delays may be encountered.
