NY-22 Congressman Brandon Williams, who served in the United States Navy on a nuclear submarine, says he's confused about initial reports surrounding that barge in Baltimore that collapsed the Key Bridge early Tuesday.

Williams said, based on his experience, it would be nearly impossible for the barge to lose power and lose the engines at the same time. He said he finds that to be highly unlikely, sir he's suspicious about what he feels really happened. When asked if he felt something nefarious had happened on board the barge, he said he didn't, but just struggled with a scenario that didn't make sense.

Williams, who's running to hold onto his seat in the newly drawn 22nd Congressional District, said he feels this fact that the barge was able to collapse the bridge, brings American infrastructure into question. Williams said we need to seriously talk about rebuilding and modernizing our nation's infrastructure, most concerning, he said is the power grid.

"Please have the victims of this tragic collision, as well as those conducting rescue efforts, in your prayers today," Williams said on Facebook.
