EAST AURORA, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities say a motorcyclist was killed after he hit a deer in a western New York road, got thrown from his bike and was struck by a school bus.

Police in East Aurora, just southeast of Buffalo, say the 52-year-old man from nearby East Otto was traveling in the village Wednesday morning when he hit a deer, causing him to be ejected from his motorcycle.

As the man was lying in the road, he was hit by a bus on its way to East Aurora High School. The man died at the scene. His name hasn't been released.
