After Car Hits Guardrail, Police Find Driver With Naked Baby

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Police say a driver who struck a guardrail on a snowy Buffalo highway had a naked baby girl in the car.

WGRZ-TV (http://on.wgrz.com/2m0HwDt ) reports that a police officer with the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority came upon the scene about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday and brought the baby to a hospital. She was not hurt.

The officer reportedly saw the car being driven erratically before hitting the guardrail and coming to a stop. The driver fled on foot and was arrested at a Buffalo bus station more than five hours later.

Buffalo police describe the 23-year-old man as a relative who was babysitting the child. It's not yet known what charges he may face.
