New York, NY (WIBX) - Saying that "an inclusive culture produces the best results," Ernst & Young Chief Executive Officer and Boy Scouts of America Board Member James Turley is pushing for an end to the ban on gay scouts.

Turley made his announcement last night after former den leader Jennifer Tyrrell started a petition on Change.org calling for an end to the Boy Scouts' ban on gay members.  Tyrell was ousted from her troop in Bridgeport, Ohio after it was learned that she is a lesbian.  She said that she felt like she was "nothing," and that she "was disappointing her seven-year old son and his entire pack of Cub Scouts."

Another prominent Scout Board member, Randall Stephenson, is expected to also urge the Scouts to end the anti-gay policy.
