Cuomo Appalled By Threat Against Watertown’s LBGTQ Community
Governor Andrew Cuomo says he's "appalled" by reports of a threatening message posted on Facebook, calling for a mass shooting of Watertown's LGBTQ community during Gay Pride activities.
Cuomo says New York has zero tolerance of such cowardly acts.
"New York stands tallest when we stand together, and we will call out bigotry and hate wherever and whenever we see it," said Cuomo.
He's asked State Police to assist local authorities to prosecute the individual responsible for the threat to the fullest extent of the law.
Watertown Police continue to investigate the Facebook posting.
