Deer Causes Motorcycle Accident in the Town of Deerfield

A man on a motorcycle sustained injuries after an accident in the Town of Deerfield.

According to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office, 50-year-old Mark Arsenault of Newport was heading south on Route 8 leaving Herkimer County and entering Oneida County when a deer entered the roadway striking his motorcycle.

Arsenault crashed his motorcycle and it slid across the pavement. Due to the crash Arsenault suffered a severe road rash to the left side of his body. As a result he was transported to St. Elizabeth's in Utica and treated for those injuries.
