Does the Cruz-Kasich Deal Make Sense?

The GOP nominating process is evolving once again.

The campaigns of Ted Cruz and John Kasich are said to be uniting against that of front-runner Donald Trump.

In your opinion is this good political strategy?   Or, as some have suggested, will it backfire - leading to a shoring up of support for candidate Trump?
