KENMORE, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities say the driver of a pickup truck is in custody after crashing into two homes in a Buffalo suburb while trying to elude police.

Officers in the town of Amherst say they tried to stop the driver for speeding early Friday morning but the motorist sped away.

The truck traveled into the town of Kenmore, where the driver lost control and hit a one-story house, then struck a two-story home next door before coming to a stop in front of a third home.

Police say the driver tried to flee on foot but was captured after being hit with a stun gun.

Both the driver and a passenger in the truck were taken to a hospital for minor injuries. Police say the driver is facing charges.

Police say no one inside the homes was injured.
